A change of use refurbishment from a former retail unit into self storage. ADS provided advice through the planning phase in relation to flood risk and drainage features. Following planning we undertook a structural assessment of the existing superstructure prior an overclad and solar panel installation. Intrusive investigation and load capacity checks were provided for the existing ground floor and liaison with the mezzanine floor contractor to ensure the new mezzanine floors were constructed in a way which would not affect the long term performance of the existing ground floor slab
