The Challenges: ADS were commissioned to design and complete a geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigation for a proposed extension of an existing storage units warehouse. The proposed development area comprised an area of concrete hard standing with external storage containers and a known underground surface water drainage network.

ADS undertook of 3 No. window sample boreholes to provide representative geotechnical and geoenvironmental information on the nature of the ground and allow sampling. Dual purpose groundwater and ground gas installations allowed the completion of post fieldwork monitoring.

ADS provided the structural engineers with geotechnical information suitable for foundations design. The relevant planning condition was discharged by the Local Authority.
